Jonathan Gems

Jonathan Gems is a London-based screenwriter, script consultant, fiction writer and, at times, a journalist for the film industry. Most notably known for his tenure with Director Tim Burton, Jonathan put his name on the Hollywood map working on films such as Batman (Warner Bros;1989), Edward Scissorhands (Warner Bros; 1990), Mars Attacks (Warner Bros; 1996 ), and Corpse Bride (Warner Bros; 2006). Jonathan has also worked with Directors John Waters and Michael Radford.

Current Projects: Jonathan has just finished writing his first fiction novel entitled, “Sweet” due for publication 2012. In addition, Jonathan is publishing, “The Un-Made Screenplays,” which contains never-before-seen screenplays by audiences outside of the film world. And if this is not enough, Jonathan is in pre-production on a feature film with a production company based in Austin, Texas to which he will retain the writing and co-producer credit.
